No watch stands for colour more than the Blue Dial Rolex Oyster Perpetual. The basic model from the brand offers everything that makes Rolex great without having to pretend to satisfy some niche need you will never encounter in your real life. The metallic looking sun-ray dials from the previous generation have been changed in 2020 for bright acrylic colours reminiscent of original Stella dial Day-Date models from the 1970s.

Luckily for us these models are significantly cheaper than an original Stella dial. Available in different sizes and colours, the blue dial variation (which has a turquoise tint) has to be the most striking one of the bunch.

The Rolex Yacht-Master 40 has long been overlooked as just a posh Submariner. This has changed as it has recently been gaining some of the appreciation it deserves for the beautiful watch that it is. With only 100 meters of water resistance I would not consider it a dive watch but it should be more than enough to satisfy all your scuba needs.

It stands out with wonderfully handsome curves on the profile of the case and lugs that hug your wrist making it one of the most comfortable watches Rolex produces.

This James Cameron special edition is water-proof to 3900 meters which should be more than enough for even the deepest Jacuzzi. Made to commemorate the film directors historic dive to the bottom of the Mariana trench it features a dial that shifts from dark blue to black to reflect the shifting colour spectrum underwater.

Moving on to the most legendary of all watches in the entire world, the Rolex Submariner. While the steel version is traditionally only available with a black dial Rolex is willing to get a little more creative with the gold and two-tone models.

A version of this watch which is lovingly referred to as the “Bluesy” is a two-tone steel and yellow gold watch with a blue ceramic bezel and a matching blue dial.

This version has been around for a long time already, so for the vintage lovers will be happy to hear that older versions of this watch are readily available and cost less than a steel vintage submariner.

7. Rolex Sky-Dweller Blue Dial 326934

Few watches are more emblematic of the blue dial craze than the stainless steel Rolex Sky-Dweller. Initially released in 2012 only in precious metals the highly complicated wristwatch was praised for its technical prowess but considered too chic and expensive for most. This changed once Rolex decided to offer it in steel and the Sky-Dweller suddenly became one of the hottest watches available, none more so than the blue dial version.

For the uninitiated, the Sky-Dweller is an annual calendar meaning it can show the month as well as always the correct date and you only need to set it once a year during the end of February. Additionally, it can display an extra time-zone to make it the perfect watch for the modern traveling gentleman.

At 42mm this is one of the larger models Rolex have in their catalogue, however, this boils down to the incredible movement that had to be fitted in this watch.

8. Rolex GMT-Master Pepsi White Gold 126719BLRO

If the Sky-Dweller was the modern traveler’s watch, the Rolex GMT-Master is its ancestral counterpart. The Pepsi, in reference to the blue and red colours used on the ceramic bezel, is one of the most iconic watches by the brand on par with the Rolex Submariner and the Rolex Daytona. Before the introduction of the Stainless steel model this bezel was only available on the white gold model. 

To allow Rolex aficionados to stand out and differentiate themselves from the steel version, the white gold version was fitted with a subtle matte dark blue dial which matches the blue found on the bezel. Being made completely out of solid 18k white gold it is unsurprisingly very expensive.
