The Rolex GMT-Master 16750 Pepsi is one of my favourite vintage GMT references. Famously associated with Tom Selleck during the 1980s Magnum, P.I. era, the 16750 combines the proportions and character of the earlier GMT-Master with the practical addition of a quick-set date.
This particular Rolex GMT-Master 16750 was originally retailed by The Red House in Gibraltar, with its punched Rolex certificate dated June 1985.
It is accompanied by its original Rolex inner presentation box and outer box. The outer box retains its faded reference and dial stickers, while the original papers retain the model sticker to the front. Also included are the translation booklet and instruction manual, both carrying 1984 publication dates, consistent with the circa-1984 production period of the watch before its retail sale in 1985.
Original Dial, Hands and Pepsi Bezel
The watch retains its original black tritium dial, original tritium hands and original red and blue Pepsi bezel insert.
The lume has developed an attractive warm and even patina, giving the watch the character collectors look for in a well-preserved vintage GMT-Master.
The stainless-steel case was deliberately left unpolished during its most recent service, preserving its age and character. There are visible marks and scratches around the case and lugs consistent with approximately forty years of use, while the overall case profile remains well presented.
The Oyster bracelet is stamped 78360 with an I5 clasp code, consistent with 1984 production, matching the period of the watch. It remains in good condition for its age with minimal stretch.
November 2025 Service
Mechanically, the watch was serviced in November 2025 by an independent vintage watch specialist who is a member of ANPRE, Asociación Nacional Profesional de Relojeros Españoles, the National Association of Spanish Watchmakers.
The case was intentionally left unpolished during the service.

Condition
A genuine vintage Rolex GMT-Master 16750 Pepsi with the combination of originality, provenance and patina collectors look for in this reference.
The dial and handset display attractive natural tritium patina. The case retains age-related marks and scratches, particularly around the lugs, and was deliberately left unpolished during its November 2025 service. The Oyster bracelet remains in good condition for its age with minimal stretch.
The inner and outer boxes show age-related wear, with more notable wear to one corner of the outer box. The set was stored together for an extended period and there remains a faint trace of a humidity/storage smell to the box and contents. This is disclosed for completeness.
Overall, this is a particularly appealing example of the transitional Rolex GMT-Master 16750 Pepsi, retaining its key original components and accompanied by a comprehensive period set and excellent Gibraltar provenance.
