Hublot Spirit of Big Bang King Gold Rainbow 42

The Hublot Spirit of Big Bang King Gold Rainbow is one of the most recognisable and expressive watches in Hublot’s modern collection. Presented in a 42mm King Gold case, this reference 641.OX.0110.LR.0999 combines Hublot’s tonneau-shaped Spirit of Big Bang design with a full rainbow gemstone setting across the bezel, case and dial.

This example of the Hublot Spirit of Big Bang King Gold Rainbow is dated 25 January 2022 and was originally supplied by Essardas Luxury in Gibraltar. It is offered with its Hublot presentation box, outer box, international warranty booklet, certificate of authenticity booklet and plastic case protector.

The watch is set with a combination of coloured gemstones including rubies, pink sapphires, amethysts, blue sapphires, blue topazes, tsavorites, yellow sapphires and orange sapphires. According to the accompanying Hublot certificate, the bezel is set with 54 baguette-cut stones, while the case and dial are set with 255 brilliant-cut coloured gemstones. The result is a watch with strong wrist presence and unmistakable visual character.

The Hublot Spirit of Big Bang King Gold Rainbow is powered by Hublot’s HUB4700 automatic skeleton chronograph calibre, based on the Zenith El Primero architecture. The movement is visible through the sapphire display back and offers a power reserve of approximately 50 hours. The openworked dial allows the movement architecture to remain visible while keeping the chronograph layout and date display clear.

The 42mm King Gold case gives the watch a warmer tone than standard rose gold, pairing well with the rainbow gemstone setting and the colourful strap. Hublot’s King Gold alloy is known for its rich colour and distinctive finish, and this example presents very well throughout the case, bezel, crystal and dial.

Condition is very good overall. The watch appears to have had very little use. The case, crystal, bezel and gemstone setting all present cleanly. A new rainbow alligator and rubber strap was fitted prior to sale and remains in excellent condition. The only clearly visible signs of wear are on the buckle, which shows light scratches from use. This has been photographed clearly for transparency.

The main Hublot presentation box is in very good condition. The outer box is included, although it does show damage to one edge and has been secured with tape. This is reflected in the listing and does not affect the watch itself.

This Hublot Spirit of Big Bang King Gold Rainbow is a rare and highly distinctive full-set example for collectors looking for one of Hublot’s most colourful modern references. It is not a subtle watch, but for the right collector it offers exactly what Hublot is known for: bold design, technical visibility, precious metal, gemstones and strong contemporary wrist presence.
