Bovet 1822 Fleurier Amadeo 42 Jumping Hours – AFHS002
One of Bovet’s most iconic creations
This model comes in yellow gold, two body, floating lugs capped by cabochon sapphires, cabochon-capped crown, and screw-down. A simple push of the bow’s cabochons releases the strap or chain. These only work when pushed together to ensure a secure hold. An invisible push piece near the rear bezel allows you to release the second strap from a hidden hinge.
Condition: Unworn (Mint condition, without signs of wear)

Its a pity we do not get to see more Bovet pieces come our way, founded by Édouard Bovet in 1822, its reputation stems from its pocket watches manufactured for the Chinese market in the 19th century.
They were one of the first brands to offer skeletonized watches to show off their decorated movements something that is still done today with this piece offering a beautifully skeletonized dial with raised gold outer ring, sapphire at 12, revolving minute ring with Arabic numerals, and Arabic-numbered jumping-hour ring.
Bovet has always stood out among the crowd with most watch brands associated with Geneva they chose to flourish in Fleurier. It is a brand that has always dared to break away from the norm. By bridging the divide between modern watch designs and ornate art, Bovet encompasses the rich history of horology.
One of Bovet’s most iconic creations is the patented Amadeo convertible case which uses an in-built easel that can be flipped. This clever feature offers a reversible wristwatch, which can be transformed into a pocket or desk watch. With a simple manipulation, the leather straps of the wristwatch can be removed. An in-built easel can then be flipped out to let the watch rest on a desk or bedside table.

The gorgeous movement can be observed through the clear caseback with the Bovet caliber 13BA04 automatic giving the watch life. It is fitted with 32 jewels, Swiss lever, with five adjustments, jump-hour function, 48-hour power reserve and stunningly hand-engraved 22K gold rotor.
