Aquastar is one of the forgotten heroes of the last century. They used to be a market leader for all things watersports, and their Regate watch was the very first Yachttimer wristwatch in the world.
This historic piece of horology has a 44 hour power reserve, operates at 18,000 VPH, has an automatic winding module, and an Incabloc shock protection system. The flyback chronograph is perpetually in motion and can be reset by the lower pushers which starts the 5 minute countdown.
This watch is sold without box and papers and with a new strap that complements the vintage aesthetic. At 37,5 mm in diameter and 13,5 mm in height it fits wrists of all sizes. Ticking inside this watch is a Felsa 4000N movement with the Aquastar regatta module that was patented in 1964 and is considered the birth certificate of the wristwatch regatta timer.
Hands, dial and crystal on this watch are in great condition. The watch winds smoothly and flyback works perfectly. The caseback has some bigger scratches which aren’t noticeable.
All in all this is a fantastic piece of history which hasn’t lost a step despite being over half a century old!
